Welcome Tim, new wholesale account manager

Meet Tim, our new Wholesale Account Manager — a bridge‑builder for producers and bar teams, driven by progress and people. Welcome aboard.

We’re pleased to welcome Tim to the Mission team. Tim joins us with a decade-plus of specialty coffee experience across Hong Kong, Melbourne and the UK, and he brings a clear, principled approach to the work we do: progress for the industry and care for the people who make it possible.

A bridge between origin and cup

What drew Tim to Mission Coffee Works were our twin principles of Progress and People. He sees wholesale as the vital bridge between producers and the people who serve and enjoy coffee every day. For Tim, progress means making that supply chain fair and sustainable — ensuring producers, roasters, and bar teams all benefit from the work they do.

Built on experience and exacting standards

Tim’s specialty coffee journey began in 2013 and has taken him through many roles, from barista to management. A formative influence was working with Scottie Callaghan, a multi‑time Australian Barista Champion. That mentorship taught Tim to treat every service like a performance: consistency, precision, and calm under pressure. Those standards now shape how he supports wholesale partners and designs product programmes.

What he’s excited to do here

In his new role Tim is most excited about curating product portfolios that make sense for each partner and translating producers’ stories into language baristas can use. In the coming months he plans to inspire partners to raise quality standards while actively supporting independent farmers who prioritise sustainable practice. His focus is practical: better coffees, clearer communication, and stronger relationships across the chain.

Grounded by ritual

Outside of work Tim’s anchor is a simple daily ritual: cooking dinner from scratch for his family. That practice keeps him grounded and reminds him why nourishing people matters — whether at the dinner table or through the coffees we bring to market.

How Tim drinks his coffee

Tim usually leans toward a batch brew for everyday drinking, though he’s got an aspiration: to enjoy a siphon‑brewed coffee each morning. He doesn’t pledge allegiance to a single origin; instead, he focuses on clarity and suitability for the moment — the right brew, for the right cup, for the right people.
