Jake - Sales Director
No stranger to the coffee scene, Jake has recently taken over operations at Mission after heading up the commercial sales and training aspect of Sanremo.
Jake is an avid fitness fan and is always training for his next triathlon, he’s also a big fan of climbing, but finds the options are limited in London! A Devonshire boy at heart, Jake’s passion lies with the ocean and being outdoors. Surfing, camping, sailing and ale are his idea of a perfect weekend.
Edgaras - Head Roaster
Our head roaster Edgaras joined the team in the summer of 2020. From Lithuania, he started roasting coffee in 2013.
When not working you'll find him roasting, Edgar plays saxophone and enjoys cycling and reading
Tomas - Head of Training
Tomas loves dancing; especially when it’s to his own collection of funk, soul and rare groove records. He also takes part in breakdance events and leads an active lifestyle, always travelling and exploring new countries. Another real interest for Tomas is photography, you can see some of his work across our website!
Previously working in the hotel business, one day a friend rang him and offered him a job interview in London for a coffee company. He'd always loved coffee and enjoyed how social it is, so he went for the interview, quit his job, withdrew all the money in his account, bought a one way ticket to London, and 9 years later is still here at Mission Coffee Works. According to Tomas he spends every day with the dream team!
Kaur - MCW Estonia
Kaur has always been a huge basketball fan but his most recent passions are yoga and food — especially Thai food, which he loves cooking. He never used to drink coffee, but was inspired by the passion of those around him who are immersed in the specialty coffee world. He trialled to dial in an espresso in 2014 and has been hooked ever since — bouncing between Tallinn and London to learn about and experience the speciality coffee world.
He is now based in Tallinn, leading our Estonian team. Kaur is a people’s person and absolutely thrives solving problems.
Mélodie - Production Manager
Melodie had been managing a specialty coffee shop in Kings Cross for a year and a half before starting as a roastery assistant at MCW. After working in hospitality for the last ten years, she couldn't let go of her love for coffee so has chosen to work behind the scenes of coffee production in order to expand her knowledge and see a different aspect of the industry.
Coming to us from France, Mel loves art in all shapes. She likes reading, drawing and sometimes driving the MCW team crazy with her singing (all the time).
During the day, she enjoys going to coffee shops for an oat flatty or a clean and sweet filter and reading a book. In the evenings you can find her drinking a sour beer or an imperial stout in a craft beer bar.
