Paúl Cascante Ureña now runs the Ureña farm, a farm that has been run by his family for decades. A degree in agronomy and his knowledge of coffee cultivation allows him to make decisions for the farm’s future, such as mixing his own fertilizer, selecting optimal varieties for planting, and promoting the farm’s coffee. The Ureña family's farm is close to the town of Palmichal and processed by the Palmichal mill, who have high standards for the cherries they receive for their micro mill, which also helps support local producers to improve the quality of their coffee.
